What is the CFA Institute Research Challenge?
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Student teams work to research and analyze a publicly traded company; write a research report highlighted by a buy, sell, or hold recommendation; and then present and defend their findings to a panel of industry experts.
How do I participate in the CFA Institute Research Challenge?
The Research Challenge is already under way, so it is too late to participate this season. Typically, local competitions begin in the fall of each year (for the Americas region). For more information on participating next season, please contact your local CFA member society or the Research Challenge team.
Will there be any other student stock pitch or portfolio competitions this year?
There will not be any additional student competitions this year. ENGAGE delegates will have the chance to view the CFA Institute Research Challenge global final, which will feature the top four teams from across the world, on Thursday evening.
