Dennis P. Lockhart
Dennis P. Lockhart is president and CEO at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He also serves on the Federal Reserve’s chief monetary policy body, the Federal Open Market Committee. Previously, Mr. Lockhart served on the faculty of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. His non-academic career includes time at the Small Enterprise Assistance Funds, Zephyr Management LP, Heller Financial, and the US Export-Import Bank as well as time as an officer in the US Marine Corps Reserve. Mr. Lockhart serves as director of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, chairs the Midtown Alliance and the Carter Center’s Board of Councilors, is a trustee of Agnes Schott College and the Atlanta International School, and serves on the advisory board of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. He received his BA in political science and economics from Stanford University and his MA in international economics and American foreign policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
