Rick Santelli is the on-air editor at CNBC, where he focuses primarily on interest rates, foreign exchange, and the Federal Reserve. He is a regular contributor to CNBC’s Squawk on the Street. Previously, Mr. Santelli served as a vice president at Sanwa Futures, LLC, where he handled institutional trading and hedge accounts for a variety of futures-related products. He was also vice president of institutional futures and options at Rand Financial Services, Inc.; managing director of the derivative products group at Geldermann, Inc.; and vice president of interest rate futures and options at the Chicago Board of Trade for Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Santelli began his career as a trader and order-filler at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in a variety of markets. He holds a BS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.
